Border formalities

Slovenia is in the Schengen Zone, meaning that at the border crossings with Italy, Austria and Hungary there are generally no controls. To enter Slovenia from Croatia, a passport or ID is sufficient if your visit will not last more than three months. Alongside citizens of all the European Union Member States, citizens of Croatia, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland can also enter Slovenia just with a personal ID, provided your visit is no more than thirty days.

How to get to Portoroz from airports if you travel by plane

If you travel by plane, there are three nearby airports:

Trieste Airport (IT) located 50 min from the venue. Trieste airport, for its strategic location, is quickly and easily accessible from its whole catchment area, not only thanks to the excellent road and motorway links but also thanks to a network of attractive and high-frequency public transport services.

Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport (SI) is the Slovenia’s main airport, located 90 min from Portoroz. The Airport offers more than 270 weekly flights to 31 mostly European destinations.

Venice Marco Polo Airport (IT) 2 hours drive from Portoroz, The Airport is linked with 128 international destinations and with the direct flights from/to the USA.
